How the Site Works

learn.tuxcode.net is designed to be straightforward. Here is a quick tour of the main features so you can start studying right away.

Choosing a Certification

From the Courses page, pick the certification you want to study for. Each certification has its own dashboard with practice exams, flashcards, lessons, and progress tracking.

Study Flow

A typical study session looks like this:

  1. Review flashcards — Start with your daily spaced-repetition cards to reinforce what you have already learned.
  2. Read a lesson — Each certification is broken into domains and objectives. Read through the lesson material at your own pace.
  3. Take a practice quiz — Test your understanding with a short quiz on the topic you just studied.
  4. Check your progress — Review your Exam Readiness Score and see which domains need more attention.

Practice Exams

Practice exams come in two modes:

  • Practice Mode — See the correct answer and explanation immediately after each question. Great for learning.
  • Simulator Mode — Mimics the real exam experience with a timer, no immediate feedback, and a final score report.

Flashcards

Flashcards use spaced repetition to optimize your memory. After viewing a card, you rate your confidence (Again, Hard, Good, Easy). The system schedules the next review based on your rating. See How Spaced Repetition Works.

Progress Tracking

Your dashboard shows XP earned, current level, active study streak, badges, and your Exam Readiness Score for each certification. All of these update automatically as you study.

Keyboard Shortcuts
