Account & Settings
Your account settings let you manage your profile, security, and study preferences. Access settings from the user menu in the top-right corner of any page.
Profile Settings
- Display name — The name shown on your profile, certificates, and leaderboard. You can change it at any time.
- Email address — Your login email. Changing it requires re-verification.
- Profile picture — Upload a custom avatar or use your Google/GitHub profile picture.
- Bio — A short description visible on your public profile (optional).
Password & Security
- Change password — Enter your current password and choose a new one. Passwords must be at least 8 characters with a mix of character types.
- Connected accounts — View and manage linked Google or GitHub accounts used for sign-in.
- Active sessions — See all devices where you are currently logged in. You can revoke access to any session.
Study Preferences
- Daily flashcard limit — Set how many new flashcards to introduce per day (default: 10). Increase for faster progress or decrease if reviews are piling up.
- Timezone — Set your local timezone. This affects when your study streak resets and when daily reviews are scheduled.
- Study goal — Set a daily study time goal (e.g., 30 minutes). The platform will track whether you hit your goal each day.
- Email notifications — Toggle notifications for streak reminders, weekly progress reports, and new content announcements.
Privacy
- Profile visibility — Choose whether your profile, badges, and certificates are public or private.
- Leaderboard participation — Opt in or out of the leaderboard.
- Data export — Download all your data (notes, scores, flashcard history) as a JSON file.
- Delete account — Permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot change email? Make sure you verify the new email address through the confirmation link.
- Forgot password? Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset it via email.
- Account locked? After 5 failed login attempts, your account is temporarily locked for 15 minutes.
