Badges are achievements that recognize your progress and milestones on learn.tuxcode.net. They appear on your profile and serve as visual markers of your learning journey.
Badge Categories
Study Badges
Earned through consistent study habits:
- First Steps — Complete your first lesson.
- Bookworm — Complete 10 lessons.
- Scholar — Complete all lessons for a certification.
- Daily Learner — Study every day for 7 consecutive days.
- Study Machine — Study every day for 30 consecutive days.
Exam Badges
Earned through practice exam performance:
- First Attempt — Take your first practice exam.
- Passing Grade — Score above the passing threshold in Simulator Mode.
- Perfect Score — Score 100% on a practice exam.
- Exam Marathon — Complete 25 practice exams.
- Domain Master — Score 90%+ in every domain on a single exam.
Flashcard Badges
Earned through flashcard usage:
- Card Flipper — Review 100 flashcards.
- Memory Master — Have 50+ cards at "Easy" status.
- Zero Backlog — Clear all due reviews in a single day.
- Streak Keeper — Review flashcards every day for 14 days.
Special Badges
- Path Complete — Finish all certifications in a learning path.
- Multi-Cert — Earn completion certificates for 3 or more certifications.
- Early Adopter — Join during the platform's first year.
How Badges Work
Badges are awarded automatically when you meet the criteria. You will see a notification when you earn a new badge. All badges are visible on your profile page.
Badge Rarity
Some badges are rarer than others. The platform tracks how many users have earned each badge. Common badges (like First Steps) are earned by most users. Rare badges (like Perfect Score) are held by fewer than 5% of users.
Do Badges Expire?
No. Once you earn a badge, it is yours permanently. Even if your streak resets, you keep the streak badge you already earned.
