How Do I Share My Certificate on LinkedIn?
Once you have earned a completion certificate, you can share it on LinkedIn, other social platforms, or include it in your resume. Here is how.
Sharing on LinkedIn

- Go to your profile and find the certificate you want to share.
- Click the Share button next to the certificate.
- Select LinkedIn from the sharing options.

Method 2: Add to LinkedIn Profile
- On LinkedIn, go to your profile and click Add profile section.
- Select Licenses & certifications.
- Fill in the details:
- Name: The certification title (e.g., "CompTIA Security+ Study Completion")
- Issuing organization: learn.tuxcode.net
- Issue date: The date on your certificate
- Credential URL: The verification link from your certificate page
- Click Save.
Sharing on Other Platforms
- Twitter/X — Use the Share button and select Twitter. A pre-filled tweet with your certificate link will open.
- Email — Click the Share button and select Email to send the certificate link directly to someone.
- Direct link — Copy the verification URL from your certificate page and paste it anywhere.
Downloading as PDF
- Go to your profile and find the certificate.
- Click Download PDF.
- The PDF includes your name, certification title, completion date, QR code, and verification URL.
- Attach the PDF to job applications, emails, or print it for your records.
Tips for Sharing
- Add context. When sharing on LinkedIn, mention what you learned and how long you studied. Personal stories get more engagement than bare certificates.
- Tag the certification. Mention the specific cert (e.g., #SecurityPlus, #AWS) to reach relevant audiences.
- Include the verification link. This lets anyone confirm your achievement is legitimate.
Privacy
Your certificate and verification page are public by default. If you prefer to keep a certificate private, you can toggle its visibility in your profile settings.
